"Aunt Lizzie" Passed peacefully away at the Pentecostal Seniors Home, Clarke's Beach on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, Elizabeth J. ‘Aunt Lizzie’ Ash of Carbonear, age 89 years. Predeceased by: husband: Arthur; daughter: Iva Green; son: Augustus 'Gus'; sister: Grace Mentions. Left to mourn, two sons: David (Marilyn), Mount Pearl and Gord (Debbie), Victoria; two daughters: Lina (Sidney) Payne and Gloria (Norman) Peddle, both of Heart’s Content; eighteen grandchildren; a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; son-in-law: Eric Green, Heart’s Content; daughter-in-law: Cora Ash, Carbonear; one brother: Gordon French, Shearstown; brother-in-law: Augustus Mentions, Bay Roberts; sister-in-law: Phyllis Ash, Carbonear.; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Capt. Darin and Major Wendy Boone conducted the funeral service on Saturday, November 5 from the Salvation Army Citadel, Carbonear.
