Doreen Amanda Kravis, 66, of Hilden, passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, surrounded by her family in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro.
Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of Mrs. Esther (Morash) Smith and the late Mr. Albert Smith. Doreen worked for many years at the Royal Bank in Truro.
She is survived by daughters, Lisa Kravis (Brian), Eastern Passage. Natalie Kravis Morrisey (Dana), Hilden; grandchildren, Kristin, Tyler, Allie, Joelle, Rownin; sister Greta Otto (David), Cole Harbour. She was predeceased by husband Frank Louis Kravis.
No visitation by request. A private family and close friend service will take place on Monday, Nov. 2, at 2 p.m. in Mattatall~Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young St., Truro, with Rev. Lori Ramsey officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. Family flowers only. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
