MacDONALD, WALTER S. - 1955 - 2011 - Miramichi - Walter Sheldon MacDonald, husband of Rhonda M. A. MacDonald, of Howard Street, Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Monday evening, November 7, 2011, at the age of 56. Born in Chatham, on March 26, 1955, he was the son of Marion (McKnight) and the late Joseph V. MacDonald. He was an employee of Highway 11 Truck & Trailer, employed as parts manager and was an adherent of St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi. He is survived by his wife, the former Rhonda M.A. Sturgeon; his mother, Marion MacDonald, of Miramichi; one daughter, Tara MacDonald (Michael Matheson), of Calgary AB; one son, Corey MacDonald (Jessica Mercier-MacDonald), of Miramichi; one sister, Cindy Lyons (Pat), of Miramichi; one brother, Ricky MacDonald (Kim), of Miramichi; seven grandchildren, Mira, Sabian, Ashlee, Morgan, Zachary, Lacy, Lexie; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Joseph MacDonald.
By his request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The public are invited to attend a funeral service to be held from St. Andrews United Church, Wellington St., Miramichi, on Thursday, November 10, 2011, at 11 am, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight. A reception with the family will follow the service at St. Andrews United Church Hall. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Miramichi. As expressions of sympathy, donations to any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
