After the war, he continued to serve with the Militia and held various appointments, culminating in being appointed Commanding Officer of No.5 Militia Group. Following a transfer to Fredericton within the Department of Education, he was appointed Commander of the New Brunswick Militia District. Having earned the rank of Colonel, Clinton Dow was the Honorary Colonel of the Moncton Service Battalion. Clint is sadly missed for his gentle heart, wonderful sense of humor, and by his grandchildren for his wonderful story-telling. Rest in peace my darling husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. We will miss you everyday. Our special thanks go to the wonderful, caring staff of Ste. Anne’s Veterans’ Hospital, especially those at the Remembrance Pavilion and the Sixth Floor who cared for him with such dignity and compassion.
