Bradley James Slauenwhite
It is with deep sadness that the family announces the death of Bradley James Slauenwhite of Fredericton New Brunswick, loving husband of Ruth (Charman) Slauenwhite, who passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on November 10th, 2011. Born in Middleton NS on March 5th, 1938 and raised in Lawrencetown, Annapolis Valley, he was the son of the late Gerald Slauenwhite and surviving mother, Ruby Slauenwhite.
Brad was a founder and long time Executive Director of Jobs Unlimited, an employment agency for mentally challenged adults, a vocation to which he was passionately dedicated. In addition, for thirty years Brad and Ruth created colourful toys which they sold at home and abroad under the banner of Performing Toys. Brad was a voracious reader, creative spirit, charismatic speaker, devoted family man, and irrepressible dreamer with boundless curiosity.
Brad is survived by his devoted wife Ruth, children Stephanie (David Boles) Fredericton NB, Wesley (Sharon Nunn) New Haven PEI, and Jennifer (Gordon Price) London ON, his grandsons Jackson and Willem Slauenwhite, his mother Ruby, brother Darrell (Elaine) and sisters Yvonne Mulligan (Dave), Jeanette Kenny, Lynn Corrigan, Idella (Phil Sinardi), Susan Loverock (Peter), his many nieces and nephews, and his uncle, Guy Eisner.
Brad will be remembered for his commitment to equality for all, celebration of family, and desire to express his creative soul. The family will receive visitors at the McAdam Funeral Home in Fredericton NB on Sunday, November 13th (see website for details.) Funeral Monday, November 14th, 11 am at McAdams Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jobs Unlimited or charity of donor's choice.
