ST-PIERRE, ROLANDE - Rolande St-Pierre, 80, wife of Arsène St-Pierre of Trois-Ruisseaux, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2011 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital.
Born October 14, 1931 in Edmundston, NB, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Couturier and the late Ida Bélanger. Rolande was retired from the Canadian Red Cross, past president of Cap-Pelé Scouts from 1984-1997, and was involved in many other organisations. Besides her beloved husband, she will be sadly missed by her son, André and his wife Caroline; their two children: Emma and François; two sisters: Gilberte Rioux and Marie-Mai Grondin; three brothers: Roland (Annette), Gilbert (Nancy), and Hermel (Noëlla); many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by a sister, Jeannine; three brothers: Maurice, Albert, and Donald.
The family will receive condolences at the Funérarium Frenette, 2642 Acadie Road, Cap-Pelé (577-3297). Visiting hours Monday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., and Tuesday, from 9:30 a.m. until departure (10:20). The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste-Thérèse d'Avila R.C. Church, Cap-Pelé, Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. In memory of Rolande, a contribution to the Autism Society of NB, the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation, or to a charity of the donors choice would be appreciated.
