It is with heartfelt sadness, that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of John David Matheson, 60, cherished husband, father and friend, on Thursday, Nov. 10, 2011, in Baddeck, N.S.
Born in Inverness, N.S., David was the son of the late Charles Matheson and Eva Matheson Morris (MacKay).
He is survived by his wife, Bernadette (MacLean); son, Charles; daughter, Cheryl; sister, Marie Matheson; best friend, Rhyburn Shaw; and numerous extended family.
The family would like to express their thanks to Dr. Genge, Shelley MacInnis and Dot MacKenzie for their efforts.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation is Tuesday, Nov. 15 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in MacAskill Funeral Home, Baddeck. Funeral service Wednesday, Nov. 16 at 11 a.m. in St. Michael’s Church, Baddeck, with Fr. Paul Abbass officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
