Passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 12, 2011, Rose Mackey of Melrose, age 70 years. Predeceased by her husband Thomas 2003. Leaving to mourn; three sons Garry (Melinda) of Melrose, Junior (Sandra) of St. John’s and Don (Allan) of St. John’s, two sisters, Esther and Genavieve, and her three grandchildren, Jordan, Kyle and Tyler. At her request, cremation has taken place. Visitation on Monday, November 14, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Strathie’s Funeral Home in Catalina. Funeral service on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 at 10:30 am at St. Patrick’s & St. Joseph’s Church in Port Union. In lieu of flowers, anyone wishing to make a donation in her memory can do so to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
