Beverly Jean (Hindy) Reid

September 22, 1959 – November 12, 2011 On Saturday, November 12, 2011 Beverly Jean Reid wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother, passed away at the age of 52 years in her home surrounded by loved ones in Heart’s Delight.
Beverly was predeceased by her daughter April Patricia Reid and father-in-law James Gordon Bartlett Reid.
Beverly will be forever remembered by her husband and best friend George, and their daughters, Judy (Justin Russell) and Carolyn (Randy) Lynch, by her parents Raymond and Monica Hindy, grandchildren Nathan, Madison, Brooklyn and Noah; brothers Lloyd (Wanda), Charlie (Iris), Paul (Wendy), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
When Beverly was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma in 2001 her and George accomplished many things: built their dream house in Country Road, Heart’s Delight, bought her little house in Florida and spent many winters golfing, sailed from Florida to NFLD, getting her own Harley and traveling to many places around North America, such as the Hershey’s chocolate factory, the 9/11 Memorial in New York, and singing at the Grande Ole Opry in Nashville.
Beverly loved and spoiled her four grandchildren. She was a dedicated member of Bethel United Church and a life member in the UCW. Beverly loved music and had a gift of playing piano and guitar. Beverly was talented at quilting, sewing, painting, and decorating. Her carrot cake was a famous treat at community functions.Beverly used every opportunity to have fun, make connections, crack a joke and make people smile. She will be remembered for her ability to accept and love people for who they are.
Beverly will be resting at Green’s Funeral Home, Winterton on Sunday, November 13, 7:30- 10:00 pm. Monday November 14, Bethel United Church, Heart’s Delight from 2:00 pm until time of funeral.
A Celebration of Beverly’s life will be held from St.Matthew’s Anglican Church, Heart’s Delight on Tuesday, November 15, at 2:00 pm with Rev. Marilyn Rees officiating. Cremation to follow.
As an expression of sympathy, donations in Beverly’s memory may be made to Daffodil Place, St. John’s or to Bethel United Church , Heart’s Delight.
