
Fred Haddad
HADDAD, FRED - At Falls Villa (Grand Falls Manor), November 17, 2011, Mr. Fred Haddad of Plaster Rock passed away at the age of 90 years. He was the husband of the late Leola Roy. Born at Saint-Leonard in 1921, he was a son of the late Theophile and Leona (Cyr) Haddad. Mr. Haddad was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 29. He was instrumental in having electricity installed in the village of Plaster Rock and had a radio and television repair business. He also worked many years at Fraser’s. He is survived by a daughter, Darlene Haddad of Plaster Rock, four grandchildren, Jennifer and Andrea Sawden, Dawn and Andrew Haddad, two great grandsons, Maeson and Hayden, sisters and brothers, Jean Beaulieu (Albert) of Plaster Rock, Camille (Dolores) of Ottawa, Roger (late Velma) of Sydney, NS, Irene Dionne (Camille) of Plaster Rock, Ivan (Wendy) of Radville, Saskatchewan, David (Judy) of Toronto and Ronald of Plaster Rock, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Diane, brothers, Edmund and James and sister, Emily.
Resting at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, Plaster Rock with visiting hours Saturday, November 19th from noon until 1 p.m. at which time a funeral service will be celebrated by Father Gilbert Doddatto. Royal Canadian Legion members will have a tribute service at 12:30 p.m. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Arrangements are by O’Regan’s Funeral Home, Grand Falls. www.oregans.ca
