Suddenly, with her daughter and son-in-law at her side, at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 of A. Joyce Rayner of Schurman Ave., Summerside, aged 86 years.
Born in Alberton on August 28, 1925 daughter of the late Wilfred and Myrtle (Cannon) Smith. Wife of Percy R. Rayner. Mother of Diane (Gordon) MacLaren, Wilmot Valley. Grandmother of Christa Thompson (Stephen Hynes), Quispamsis, NB, and Craig (Kendra) MacLaren, Wilmot Valley. Great-grandmother of Kayla, Riley and Faith. Sister of Blanche "Dolly" (Everett) Adams, Elmsdale; Marion (Donald) Williams, Spryfield, NS; Bonita Smith, Scarborough, ON; and Winston (Lynn) Smith, Saint John, NB.; and sister-in-law, Lucy Smith, Summerside. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by brothers George and Elvion "Al" and sisters Florence and Alice.
Resting at the Davison Funeral Home, Kensington, for visitation on Friday evening from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Saturday in the Davison Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. Interment in the Central Lot 16 United Church Cemetery.
