Eunice Virginia Fogg (nee Loughridge), age 87, left this world on Sunday, Oct. 23 at the Kyle Health Centre. Eunice leaves behind her sons Ed (Bev) of Calgary, Ted (Andi) of Grand Forks, BC, and Pat (Rita) of Calgary as well as her daughter Pam Lammiman (Curt) of Calgary. She was the loving grandmother of seven: Trent (Lisa), Darin (Cherie ), Rebecca (Jamie), Simon (Katie), Tom (Beth), Joleen (Jason) and Chris (Jodi). Eunice was also proud of her eight great grandchildren: Calvin and Chelsea; Alice and Delila; Linden; Caleb and Julia; and Farlow. She was predeceased by her sister Earla and brothers Jim and Jack. Eunice was born in Unity, SK, and attended school there as well as the University of Saskatchewan. She married Ted Fogg on Sept. 29, 1946 and they lived in Unity unti1 1952. After a year in Eston, Ted and Eunice moved to Kyle in 1953 where they operated the Kyle Supermarket for 21 years. Eunice was an active resident of the town, serving on the school board. She held office in the Bethel Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star and also joined the Legion Ladies Auxiliary and the UCW. She was perhaps most proud of her "honourary" status as a guest member of the North Landing Ladies Social Club. In her retirement Eunice loved to garden, to golf, to play bridge and to cook and bake cookies for those grandchildren. While her memory may have begun to fail in her last years, Eunice maintained her sense of humour and her generous nature to the end. Her family misses her dearly but share in the wonderful memories of a life lived to its fullest. A celebration of the life of Eunice Fogg will be held on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 1:00 pm at Kyle United Church.
