Passed away at the St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital on Saturday, November 19th, 2011, Willis Reid aged 75 years. Predeceased by parents Alex and Violet Reid; sister Elizabeth and brother Alex. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 55 years, Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Anderson); sons Gary (Donna), Randy (Michelle), Greg (Maggie) and David (Corina); brothers John (Betty), Robert (Edna), David and Teddy; sisters June (Barry) and Dorothy; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; as well as many other relatives and friends including his cabin buddies and former co-workers of Atlantic Piolet Authority where Willis was employed for 25 years. Special thanks to the staff of St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital, 5 East for all their care and compassion. Resting at Barrett’s Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue, on Tuesday 10 a.m. - 12 noon, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m.- 12 noon. Funeral service will be held from Cochrane Street United Church on Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation will follow funeral service. Interment will take place a later date.
