Fred Carl Fisher of Moose Jaw passed away peacefully with family by his side on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the age of 58 years. Fred worked his whole life in the cattle industry. He was part owner of Weyburn Livestock for thirty years. He was a member of Saskatchewan Team Roping Association, Canadian Cowboy’s Association and Big Muddy Team Roping Association. Fred enjoyed team roping, gardening, playing cards, a favorite card trick “Little Joe”, spending time with his grandkids, the Toronto Maple Leafs & Blue Jays. Predeceased by his father, Norman and sister, Darlene. Fred will be sadly missed by his mother, Elaine; Charlotte Sinclair and son, Reece; Kirk (Lorena); Kent (Brandie) and their mother, Sue; Kassidy and his mom, Tracey Salisbury; grandchildren: Taylor, Kelsey, Kenzie, Keira, Kai; siblings: Mel (Maxine), Shirley (Cec), Dale (Brenda), Les (Trudy), Kelly (Julie), Perry (Heather) Terry (Carmen), as well as numerous family members. A Celebration of Fred’s Life was held on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 2p.m. at Hillcrest Apostolic Church,1550 Main St. N., Moose Jaw with Reverend Dave Moore officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. For those so wishing, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 61B Ross St. W., Moose Jaw, S6H 2M2 or to the Diabetes Association, 917 Albert St., Regina, S4R 2P6. In living memory of Fred, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Home.
