May 03, 1945 - November 20, 2011

With extreme sadness we are sorry to announce the sudden passing of our loving wife, mother and grandmother (Grammie) Barbara (Barb) Louise, on November 20, 2011 in Kamloops.

Born in Vancouver on May 03, 1945. Barb was predeceased by her parents Charlie and Ruby Christensen and brother Bill Ripley. She will be dearly missed by her husband of 46 years Jim, her children Sheri (Ken) Pickrell, Scott (Sadie) Thom, granddaughters Jenny and Julie, her sisters Hazel Whittingham of Parksville, Debbie (Don) Levers of Victoria, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Barb worked many years as a secretary for the Kamloops School District before retiring in 2005. She enjoyed spending her time gardening, fishing, knitting, researching family history and cheering for the Kamloops Blazers. She cherished her times spent with her granddaughters.

At Barb's request there will be no service. A family Celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
