GREENCORN, ELLEN "SUSIE" KATHLEEN - Unexpectedly at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John NB on November 24, 2011, Mrs. Ellen “Susie” Kathleen (Johnson) Greencorn, wife of Mr. Howard Greencorn of Blacks Harbour NB and formerly of Beaver Harbour NB. Born at Saint John NB on October 10, 1941, she was a daughter of the late Jarvis "Bill" and Helen (Carpenter) Johnson. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, in addition to her husband Howard, she is survived by one son, Dennis (Jane) Greencorn of Stittsville ON, two daughters; Darlene (James) Harris and Lisa (Danny) Hooper both of Calgary AB, nine grandchildren, three great grandchildren, three sisters; Ann VanHorne and Mary Johnson both of Canal NB and June Welles of Deadmans Harbour NB and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Susie was predeceased by one daughter, Dorothy Harpell and by two brothers, Martin Johnson and Charles Johnson. Prior to her retirement, Susie worked for Connors Bros in Blacks Harbour NB. She loved socializing and could often be found talking amongst friends at Randy’s Store in Beaver Harbour. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by all who knew her.
As per her request, there will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at the Pennfield Rural Cemetery in the spring. In Susie’s memory, donations to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.
