STEWART, VIOLA (née CURWIN) - (1934 - 2011) - SAINT-LOUIS, NB - Viola Stewart 77, of St. Louis passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont Regional Hospital on Saturday, November 26th, 2011. Born in La Source, South Kouchibouguac she was the daughter of the late Clark and the late Délia (Daigle) Curwin. Before retiring, Viola worked at W.S. Loggie and was also part owner of the Bon Accueil Restaurant, Kouchibouguac. Viola attended St. Louis des Francais Roman Catholic Church. Viola will be sadly missed by her husband; Kenneth Stewart, two daughters; Karen Stewart (Michael McCormick) of Dartmouth, NS, Sheila Stewart (Bill White) of Moncton, three sons; Ronnie (May) of Aldouane, Roland (Diane) of Moncton, Dean (Monique LeBlanc of Ste. Anne, nine grandchildren; Shelley, Michael, Jesse, Bryan, Caitlin, Jenny, Billy, Samantha, Sylvie three great grandchildren; William, Eve-Lyne, Jacob, two sisters; Bessie Comeau (Edmond) of Fredericton, Ida Goguen (Jean-Guy) of Dieppe, four brothers; Bill (Corinne) of Dartmouth, NS, Robert (Pauline) of Cap-Lumière, Raymond (Anna) of Richibucto, Alfred (Linda) of Moose Jaw, SK, as well as several nieces and nephews. Other than by her parents, Viola is predeceased by her daughter; Mary Viola, her sister; Loretta Thompson, her sister-in-law: Claudette Curwin, and her brother-in-law Alfred Thompson.
Viola will be resting at Thompson’s Memorial Home, St. Louis with visitation on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00pm and 7:00 to 9:00pm, Tuesday from 9:00am until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, November 29th, 2011 at 11:00am, St. Louis des Francais Roman Catholic Church, St. Louis. Interment will be in the Claire-Fontaine Roman Catholic Cemetery, Kouchibouguac. If so desired, donations to the New Brunswick Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
