BELLIVEAU, J. FRANK - 1926-2011 - J. Frank Belliveau, 85, of Riverview, NB, passed away after a brief illness Sunday, November 27th, 2011 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in College Bridge he was the son of the late Julia (nee Leblanc) and the late Anthony Belliveau. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Ena (nee Horsman), son, Michael of Edmonton & daughter Jocelyn Marchand (Dave) also of Edmonton. Frank was predeceased by sister Florence Gaudet as well as brothers Blair and Oscar Belliveau. Survived by sisters Alice Belliveau of St. Joseph, Rachel (Tom) Bourgeois of Dieppe, Theresa (Tony) Bourgeois of Hartford Conn., as well as several nieces and nephews. Frank retired from CN Rail as a Train Dispatcher in 1983. He worked for CN for almost 39 years starting in 1944 as a telegrapher and was promoted to train dispatcher in 1951. During his career at CN he worked in many stations in the Atlantic region. Frank loved woodworking and was especially proud of his many lawn furniture projects. He was an enthusiastic member of the Morse Telegraph Club and thoroughly enjoyed "Keeping the art of telegraphy alive" participating in a number of demonstrations in Halifax, Tatamagouch and Moncton. He also regularly conversed with club members in Morse code with his telegraph equipment both via phone line and internet.
In keeping with Frank's wishes there will be no visitation or funeral service. There will be a reception at Fair Haven Funeral Home 1177 Salisbury Rd. Moncton on Thursday, December 1st at 11:30. The family would like to thank the Doctors and staff of the Oncology clinic, 3600/Palliative Care at The Moncton Hospital and all the others who participated in caring for him.
