Traci (Pink) Cleverley
Lieu de naissance : Halifax, Nouvelle Ecosse, Canada
Lieu de décès : Owen Sound, Ontario, Canada
Date de décès : 24 novembre 2011
Traci Pink Cleverley, 39, passed away suddenly on Nov. 24, 2011.
Born in Halifax, N.S., she was the daughter of Deanie Pink (Ward), Heatherton, N.S., and the late Albert Pink, Dartmouth, N.S.
Traci is survived by her beloved husband, Doug Cleverley, Owen Sound, Ont. and her two stepchildren, Adela and Brendan. Daughter-in-law of Phoebe Cleverley, Owen Sound, Ont. Traci is survived by her two big brothers, Tom Pink, Owen Sound, Ont., and Travis Pink, Comox, B.C. She was a loving aunt to Anja and Henry Pink, Owen Sound, Ont., and Thia and Cameron Pink, Moncton, N.B.
Although born and raised on the mainland, Traci had a strong affinity for Glace Bay, Cape Breton, N.S., where her people are from. She spent many summers at Nan Ward’s in the Stirling and walking along the cliffs of North Street to get to Nan Pink’s.
She loved going lobster fishing with Uncle Dave and her dad; and marvelling at Uncle Walter’s book collection. Memories of the ’75 Impala with no seatbelts, lots of smoke and no pee breaks until Father Bill’s in Heatherton were always good for a laugh.
It was these childhood times in Glace Bay that shaped Traci into the loving, compassionate and outgoing person she became as an adult. She had a frankness and zest for life that will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
A Celebration of Life for Traci will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch, Owen Sound on Thursday afternoon at 1 p.m.
