STARKEY, EVA IRENE - Eva Irene (MacKenzie) Starkey of Redondo Beach, California passed away on November 10, 2011. Born February 25, 1929 in Saint John, NB, she was the youngest daughter of Albert Linden MacKenzie of Picadilly and Laura May Carleton of Riverside-Albert. Pre-deceased by her husband, Stephen Elmer Starkey and her son, James Donald Starkey, she is survived by a sister, Alice Joyce Feltus of Martinon; her children Brenda Diane Starkey, Steven Albert Starkey, and Carol Irene Miller; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Eva was a graduate of the Saint John General Hospital School of Nursing and practiced neo-natal nursing for many years until her retirement. She maintained a close relationship with family and friends in St. John, Kings, and Queens Counties, usually making an annual trip East.
