SMITH, Walter — Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Friday Dec 2, 2011 surrounded by his loving family Walter J Smith of New Perlican aged 91 years. Predeceased by mother Mary Warren, brothers Ernest Warren,and Cecil Warren, special Uncle and Aunt Walt and Elsie Smith. Father and mother in law John and Hannah Legge. Sadly missed by wife Susie (Legge), children Lucy (Walt Piercey). Ida(Dave Antle), Doug (Debbie), Dennis (Mary),Elsie (Craig Smith) Dianne (Kevin Thorne), Noel (Sherry)and John (Sandra) 14 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, brothers James Warren, George Warren(Betty),and sister in law Joan Warren. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Resting at Greens Funeral Home Winterton,with visitation Saturday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., Sunday visitation will take place at St. Augustines Anglican Church New Perlican from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Funeral service to take at 2:30 p.m. from St. Augustines Anglican Church and Cemetery, New Perlican. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Augustines Anglican Church Memorial Fund.
