RICHARD, LAURIE - Laurie Richard, 72, of Haute Aboujagane passed away suddenly at home on Sunday, December 4, 2011. Born in Haute Aboujagane, March 27, 1939, he was the son of the late Denis and Lucia (LeBlanc) Richard. Laurie was a Police officer and a correctional officer with the Correctional Services of N. B. Laurie will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 47 years, Claudette (Babin) Richard, their five children: Hélène Richard of Haute Aboujagane, Lucie Richard (Jean Lambert) and Anne Richard (Éric Robichaud) both of Moncton, Line Richard (André Decoste) of Bas Cap-Pelé and Diane Richard (Gilles Robichaud) of Grand-Barachois; two sisters: Rita Kratzke (late Bob) of Southington, Conn. and Irène LeBlanc (late Roger) of Haute Aboujagane; five grandchildren: Frédérique, Ludovic, Franquelin, Damien and Manon; and by several nieces, nephews and friends. He is predeceased by a sister infant Elvina and by a brother Fred.
At the family's request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. Funeral mass will be celebrated at Sacré Coeur Roman Catholic Church, Haute-Aboujagane on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Cremation and funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac, N.B.
