At UMass Memorial Medical Centre, Worcester, Massa., on Tuesday, April 15, 2008, of John "Gilbert" MacLean, of Worcester, Mass., with a summer home in Brae, veteran of the Second World War and Korean War and member of the O'Leary Legion, aged 78. Beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Gunderman). Born in Auburn on May 14, 1929, son of the late Spurgeon and Rebecca (Howard) MacLean. Dear father of John, Peter and Maureen MacLean, all of Auburn. Brother of Dell MacLean, Auburn and Brae; Hazel (Vincent) DiBenedetto, Shrewsbury; Gordon, Leicester; and Frederick (Florence), Brae Harbour. Predeceased by brother Howard and sisters Kathleen Odgren and Thelma Woodward.
