It is with great sadness the family of the late Mary Eileen Fraser age 75, of Amherst announce her passing on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan, NS. Born in Spirnghill, NS she was a daughter of the late Renford and Elizabeth (White) Harrison. She worked at Murphy's Pant Factory in Amherst for 28 years as well as Atlantic Wholesalers, Playtex and Gables Lodge. Mary enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, quilting, bingo, cards, darts and bowling and loved her three cats Spanky, Russell and Fluffy. She is survived by her husband, Ernest; one daughter Kathy (Dean) Bureaux of Amherst, two sons Donald and Jackie both of Amherst; two sisters Beverly White of Scarborough, ON and Doris (Richard) Beaton of Pictou, 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by a son Gary, two sisters Shirley Rushton and Romona Rector, two brothers James and one in infancy. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 18, 2009 from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 2 p.m. all in Campbell's Funeral Home, Amherst (667-9906) Archdeacon Glenn Eason will officiate. Interment will take place in the Christ Church Cemetery, Amherst.
