Dorothy "Dot" Terry, 85 of Amherst, NS, passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2011. Born in Amherst, she was a daughter of the late Mildred and George Laurette.
Dot worked may years at Chrisite Trunk and Baggage and Highland View Hospital. She loved doing sewing and crafts attending craft shows over the years. She made many good friends, loved her appartment and all her good neighbours. Dot had 2 very special friends, Marj and Alvin whom she enjoyed traveling to yard sales and to "Tim's with for coffee.
Dot will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her children, William (Bill) (Marion) Terry, Dorothy (Dolly) (Rod) Hurley; sister, Vivian (Peter) MacNeil; brothers, Raymond (Pat) and Hubert Laurette. Dot's greatest joy was being able to see her grandchildren Dawn (David Bryant), Mike (Bobby-jo) Hurley and Sarah Terry and being a part of their lives. Her great grandchildren, Kyle and Samantha Bryant held a special place in her heart. Loving them and them loving her, kept her young.
Dot was predeceased by her daughter, Helen in infancy; brothers, Bob, Leonard and Ralph and a loving sister Zena
Dot's remains have been entrusted into the care of the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, Amherst. There will be no visitation or memorial service by her request. www.furlongjones.ca
