Walter Wilm, age 89, died peacefully Sunday morning, November 15, 2009 at his current residence of Providence Place in Moose Jaw, SK. Walter was predeceased by his parents Frank and Paulina Wilm, brother Fred Wilm and sisters Emma Olson, Marie Fleming, Tina Wilm and Ella Wilm. He is survived by his wife Joan Wilm and by his children Lynne Feeney (Terry), Lorne (Joanne) Wilm and Donna (Devone) Miner. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and by one sister Martha Wood; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Walter was born in Central Butte on October 25, 1920. He spent his life farming on the family farm south of Central Butte. Walter also spent several years in service during WWII. On August 1, 1943 he married Joan (Morley) of the Thunder Creek area. They raised their three children on the family farm and moved into Central Butte in 1965. Walter continued to farm with his son and grandson right into his 80\'s. In his spare time, Walter enjoyed watching many sports but in particular he was an avid hockey fan and spent many days driving the grandchildren to games. A private family service will be held at a later date. Donations can be made in memory of Walter to Central Butte & District Health Care Foundation or Alzheimer Foundation.
