Vera Dora Hanna passed away peacefully on December 17, 2011 at the Yorkton and District Nursing Home at the age of 85 years.

She was born on August 16, 1926 to Mike and Annie (Naharni) Krisko in Angusville, Manitoba. She attended school in Angusville and then worked briefly in Winnipeg. Over the years Vera lived in Saskatchewan, Alberta and B.C. She spent many years working as a security guard at the Kamloops airport. In 2005, due to the progression of Alzheimer's disease, her family moved Vera from Kamloops to Aspen Bluffs care facility to be closer to family. In the last couple of years she was a guest at the Yorkton and District Nursing Home where she remained until her passing.

The Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, December 27, 2011 from the Chapel of Christieís Funeral Home in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. The Cremation Committal will take place in Kamloops, B.C. at a later date.
