ALEATHA JOSEPHINE SHEA nee DAVIS
1923-2011
Amherst - Our loving mother Aleatha Josephine Shea nee Davis, 88, passed away on December 25, 2011 at the Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro Nova Scotia. Born in Pictou, she was the daughter of the late James Davis and Catherine (MacKenzie) Davis.
She will be sadly missed by her surviving seven children, Patrica (Robert) Langille, Florence (Kirk Blake) Chisholm, William (Judy) Shea, Aleatha (Michael) Lauder, Paul (Karen) Shea, Katherine (Reginald) Henderson, James (Maureen) Shea, loving niece Geraldine MacDonald, 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Roy Shea, son Michael Shea, 15 brothers and sisters.
Her remains have been entrusted into the care of Furlong Jones Funeral Home 70 Church Street, Amherst Nova Scotia. Visitation will be at 12 pm Thursday, December 29, service to follow at 2pm.
The family wishes to express their thanks to the doctors and nurses on Four South, Colchester Regional Hospital, for their excellent care of our mother. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Palliative Care, town of choice.
