It is with great sadness that the family of the late Bertha Knott (nee Wentzell) announce her passing on Sunday, December 25, 2011 at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility at the age of 80 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her brother Clyde (Sylvia); sisters: Claudia, Harriet (Asaph) and Geraldine (Sandy); sisters-in-law: Dora (Bert), Joyce (Edgar), Joan (Norm), Linda (Eric), Gladys (Bryce) and Ann; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband William T. Knott, parents Cornelius and May Wentzell, brother Rendell, sister-in-law Hazel, brother-in-law Frank Kennedy, father and mother-in-law Walter and Myrtle Knott, brothers and sister-in-law Rendell and Bride Knott, Clarence and Milton Knott. Friends may visit the Church of the Good Shepherd in Norris Point on Wednesday, December 28 beginning 11:00 a.m. from where the funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Charlene Laing officiating. Interment to follow at the Anglican Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made in Bertha’s memory to the Church of the Good Shepherd Memorial Fund.
