MRS. JEANNETTE BADGER of Moose Jaw passed away peacefully December 25, 2011 at the age of 91 years. She had Alzheimer’s for a number of years. Nettie was born February 3, 1920 to Laura and Jim Edge at Elbow , Saskatchewan. She attended school at Wild Lily until finishing grade 10. She worked for several years at Elbow Co-op Store. Nettie married Gordon Badger in November 1950 and they farmed at Grainland, Saskatchewan until 1966. The couple retired from farming and moved to Moose Jaw. Gordon and Nettie enjoyed traveling to destinations on the East Coast, Las Vegas, Anaheim, Ontario, British Columbia and other areas throughout the United States and Canada. Nettie was a talented artist and enjoyed painting and swimming with friends. Nettie was predeceased by her husband, Gordon in 2005, she is survived by a niece, three nephews, several cousins and friends. She was a devoted member of the Worldwide Church of God. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at 2p.m. at Extendicare, 1151 Coteau St. W., Moose Jaw. Reverend Dave Moore will officiate. Interment will take place in Central Butte Cemetery in the spring. Many thanks to the caring staff at Extendicare in Moose Jaw. In living memory of Nettie, a tree will be planted in Besant Park by W.
