Marjorie Grace Hamm - 90, of Orchard Court, Kentville, formerly of New Minas, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011 in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Port Williams, she was the daughter of the late Vernon and Addie (Brown) Schofield. She had been a member of the United Church of St. Paul and St. Stephen, Kentville and a member of the U.C.W. - New Minas Unit. She had also been a member of the Port Williams Senior Citizens. She is survived by a daughter, Janet (Larry) Spence, Coldbrook; two sons, William (Judith), Vegreville, Alberta; Donald (Ruth), Maitland, Ontario; three grandchildren, Mark, Heather and Neil. She was predeceased by her husband, William; a half-sister, Osa Hancock. Cremation has taken place and there was no visitation, by request. A private family funeral service will be held at a later date in the Carriage House Chapel of the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville. Donations in memory may be made to the Annapolis Valley Victorian Order of Nurses or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
