LENNOX, MARGARET MOWAT - Margaret Mowat Lennox, wife of the late Robert Charles Lennox passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at the Kings Way Care Centre, Quispamsis NB. Born January 7, 1917 in Montreal, Quebec she was the daughter of the late Francis and Etta Mavor. In addition to her husband, Margaret is predeceased by her son, Gordon and sister, Fran Arthurs. She is survived by her son Terry (Elaine) of Quispamsis; her grandchildren, Lisa Lennox Fillmore (Stephen) of Rothesay and Scott Lennox of Quispamsis and her great grandson, Darren; sisters, Isobel Dunning of Toronto and Marion Brooks of Surrey, England. Margaret lived most of her married life in Halifax N.S. and was active in her community. She volunteered for many years at St Vincent’s Guest Home in Halifax bringing her joy and love of life to many seniors. Margaret was a member of Rockingham United Church Halifax N.S. She was a devoted mother grandmother and great grandmother and the centre of every family gathering. She will be sadly missed and remembered for her joy for life, optimistic spirit and love of family.
By Margaret’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. A family committal service will take place in Halifax at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to Kings Way Care Centre or Alzheimer Society or charity of choice would be appreciated. Arrangements are under the care of Reid’s Funeral Home, Hampton NB.
