Hugh Russell passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at the age of 70 years.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 47 years, Judy. Hugh will be greatly missed by his children Mike (Leah), Rob (Roxanne), and Michelle (Gerry); and his grandchildren Samantha, Mikayla and Taylor. He is also survived by his brother Bill (Carol), sister Chick (Keith) and his stepfather Harold.

Hugh was predeceased by his parents Bill and Margaret. He will also be fondly remembered by his many friends and extended family.

Hugh was a very accomplished man who served with the Royal Canadian Navy and was a lifetime member of the IBEW. After a satisfying career as an electrician, he was the founder of Donahue Industries, of which he was a successful owner/operator for over thirty years. Hugh loved the outdoors and was happiest when spending time camping, hunting or fishing with his family and friends.

At his request, no service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Hugh's name to the Kamloops Hospice Association, 72 Whiteshield Crescent S, Kamloops, BC V2E 2S9.
