MacNAUGHTON, M. ISABEL - 1932 - 2012 - Miramichi - Marjorie Isabel MacNaughton, wife of Murray MacNaughton, of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, and formerly of the North Napan Road, passed away at her residence, on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at the age of 79. Born in Napan, New Brunswick, on July 17, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Annie (Henderson) MacKnight. She was a homemaker and a member of Carmel United Church, Napan; a former member of the church choir as well as the U.C.W. Known as a professional seamstress with patience and skill for cooking, knitting and quilting. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Murray; one daughter, Kathy Anne Lowe (John), of Lethbridge, AB; two grandsons, Stewart Lowe and Ross Lowe (Sadie); one grand daughter, Alison Ford (Johnathan); one great grand daughter, Makila Lowe; one sister, Dorothy Gilliss, of Napan; as well as several cousins. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother in law, Harold Gilliss.
Visitation will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Sunday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Carmel United Church, Napan, on Monday, January 9, 2012, at 2 pm, conducted by Penny Postlethwaite. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery, later in the spring. Please note, due to family allergies, no flowers please. Donations to the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home "Seniors On The Go Program", or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
