Passed away at the Carmelite House on Jan. 2, 2012 after a lengthly illness Edgar Joseph McLennon of Grand Falls-Windsor. He was 66 years of age. Mr. McLennon retired from Sobeys after 29 years and was a member of the Lions Club. He was predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Catherine McLennon; brother, Jim and son, Joe. Left to mourn are his wife, Edna; sons, David (Rhonda), Gerard (Michele); daughter, Sharon (Geoff) Smith; daughter-in-law Marguerite Anstey. Also leaving to mourn are his seven grandchildren; four great-grand-children; sister, Bernadette (Mike) MacDonald; brothers, Bill (Maureen), John (Glennis), Tom (Inez) and a circle of other relatives and friends. Father William Houlahan conducted the funeral mass at St. Joseph’s Parish on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2012 with interment at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Grand Falls-Windsor. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Hoskins Funeral Home, Grand Falls-Windsor. Pallbearers were grandsons, Doug & Shane McLennon; nephews, Michael & Chris Murray, Michael McLennon and Michael MacDonald Jr. Donations in his memory can be made to the Grand Falls-Windsor Cancer Clinic.
