It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Georgia Elizabeth Hill, 90, of Point Edward on Jan. 6, 2012, at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Balmoral, Richmond County, she was the daughter of the late Donald George and Lavinia (Frost) Ferguson.
She is survived by her husband, James; sons, George (Cheryl), South Bar, Billy and David, Point Edward, Fraser (Vincent) Sydney; daughters, Debbie, at home, Wendy, Frenchvale. Grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie, Matthew, Tyson, Shauna, Arianna and Megan; as well as five great–grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Elsie Levy, Moncton, N.B., and Adelaide Nesterenko, Sydney.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by brothers, David, Phillip, Harold, Fraser, Charlie, Roland, Donald and sister, Alice MacDonald, two sons in infancy and son-in-law, Neil Smith.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service for the late Georgia will be held 2 p.m., Monday, Jan. 9, 2012, at the S.W. Chant & Son Funeral Home, 564 Alexandra St., Sydney, with Rev. Sheldon Chant officiating.
