Eunice Wilson-Brown
WILSON-BROWN, EUNICE - Mrs. Eunice Ella (Phillips) Wilson-Brown, widow of Ian Wilson and Wilson Brown of Mount St Joseph Nursing Home, formerly of Island View Drive, Nelson Miramichi passed away Friday morning, January 6, 2012 at Mount St Joseph Nursing Home, at the age of 92. Born in Glace Bay, N.S., she was the daughter of the late David and Cynthia (Martell) Phillips. She was a retired store clerk and homemaker. She was a member of the United Church and a former member of U.C.W. She also was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by one daughter, Diane Sealy (Clifford) of Salmon Beach, Bathurst, two sons, Peter (Carole Ann) of Derby Jct., and Stephen (Sandra) of Stony Plain, Alberta, 11 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her first husband Ian Wilson, her second husband, Wilson Brown, one son David, three sisters, Betty Smith, Abigayle MacDonad and Muriel MacKeigan, one brother Roy Phillips and one grandson Bradley Sealy.
Mrs. Eunice Ella Wilson Brown rested at Davidson’s Funeral Home, 597 Old King George Hwy, Miramichi, with visitation on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The Funeral Service was held on Monday, January 9, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Davidson’s Funeral Home Chapel with Wendell Gregan, M.ED,DLM officiating. Organist and soloist Shirley Estey rendered “I Am Thine O Lord”, “Abide with Me”, “In the Garden” and “Family Bible”. A eulogy was given by Jeff Wilson. Readings were by Andrea Wilson and Patty Hollenberg. A poem was read by Diane Sealy. Burial will be in Miramichi Cemetery in the spring. In memory of Eunice donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a memorial of ones choice would be appreciated. Active Pallbearers were: Blake Sealy, Christopher Wilson, Jeffery Wilson and Billy MacDonald. Honorary Pallbearers were: Joe Fournier, Mai Fournier, Lillian Hogan, Sandy McCormack, Fred MacDonald, Mervin Godfrey, Katherine Godfrey, Betty Ann Cain and Lenore Masterson.
