Dartmouth. It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce her sudden passing on January 17, 2012 at the age of 66 years. Born in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, she was a daughter of the late Clifford and Yvonne (Cormier) DeCoff. Jean grew up in Eastern Passage. After Jean married she became a wonderful and loving mother to daughter Janine and son Jeffrey. She was deeply devoted to her family and will be very well remembered for her strength, wisdom, sense of humour, love of music, and her natural ability to touch the lives of so many of us. She is survived by her devoted life companion Paul Connolly; daughter, Janine Ward-Travers (Wayne), Oakville, Ontario; son, Jeffrey Ward (Kathy), Canobie, New Brunswick; grandchildren, Meredith, Payton, Ryland, Logan and Nicola; her former husband, John Ward; siblings; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. You are in our hearts forever. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Eastern Passage Community Funeral Home, 5 Cow Bay Road, Eastern Passage.
