Leona LeBlanc, age 97, of Port Elgin, passed away peacefully at the Westford Nursing Home on Sunday, January 22, 2012.
Born in Memramcook, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Annie Dupuis.
She will be sadly missed by children, Phyllis (Trevor) Whitten, Paul (Doreen) LeBlanc, Gary (Helen) LeBlanc, and Lorraine (David) Head; nine grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and brother Lorenzo Dupuis.
She was predeceased by her husband, Fred LeBlanc; brothers, John and Euzebe; and sister, Emelda.
Cremation has taken place under the care and supervision of Jones Funeral Home, 3 W. Main Street, Port Elgin (538-2241). There will be no visitation or memorial service at the funeral home. Leona's family will hold a service at a later date.
Donations in memory of Leona may be made to the Westford Nursing Home.
The family would like to express their thanks and appreciation to the staff of the Westford Nursing Home for their loving and personal care they gave Leona, and to special friend Jean Trenholm.
