John Stephen Racki, age 56, of Cole Harbour passed away peacefully Jan. 24, 2012, at home with his family by his side.
Born and raised in New Waterford, he later lived in Calgary, Alta., when his children were young and then settled in Dartmouth, N.S., for the remainder of his life
Steve was a son of the late John and Helen Racki.
He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Patricia Dingwall; his daughter, Erica; his son, Kyle and his two grandsons, Micah and Ty (who is due to be born next month). Steve was a lover of sports, music and dogs.
One of Jehovah’s Witnesses, he drew great comfort from his firm hope in a resurrection on a paradise Earth.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall on 1 Forest Hills Dr., on Jan. 28.
