It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jim with his loving family by his side. 
Jim was born in Sydney on March 27, 1934 and was in his 78th year. 
Jim leaves behind his beloved wife Erika; daughter, Rosemarie and son, Gerry. He will be sadly missed by his four grandchildren, Amanda, Erik, Kaelan and Ryan. 
He was predeceased by his parents Albert and Mary Belle; sisters, Selena, Alexina, Annie Pearl and his brothers, John, William, Arthur and Chester. 
He is survived by his siblings, Albert, Lillian, Sr. Margaret Ann, Mary and Sheila. He also leaves behind countless nieces and nephews who adored him as much as he adored them. 
Jim will be forever remembered for his kindness and generosity to family, friends, neighbors and strangers alike. He was a proud firefighter for 40 years and was forever proud of his Cape Breton roots. 
Family and friends will be received at the Weaver Family Funeral Home - East Chapel, 29 Bay St., Trenton on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. A Royal Canadian Legion Memorial Service will take place at the East Chapel Sunday at 5:45 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the East Chapel on Monday, Jan. 30, 2012 at 1 p.m, Fr. Tim Harrison officiating.  Interment Mt Calvary Cemetery.
