BAKER, Mary Gertrude - 80 of Meadowvale passed away, Monday January 23, 2012 in Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton with her children and Debbie Selig, treasured daughter of her heart, by her side. Born in Wolfville, NS, she was a daughter of the late George and Anna (MacKinnon) Rafuse. Mary loved children above all things. She also loved flowers, gardening and animals. Mary was a knitter for the IWK. She is survived by son, Lloyd Baker, Meadowvale, her daughter, Donna (Gilles) Griffin, Meadowvale; brothers, Doug (Marg) Rafuse, Bridgewater and Danny Rafuse, Wilmot. Grandchildren, Steven and Amanda Baker. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John and an infant sister, Rhoda. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service was held Friday, January 27, 2012 in the Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main Street, (902) 825-3448, with Rev. David Phillips officiating.  A reception for family and friends followed the service.
