CLARENCE RUSZKOWSKI
November 7th, 1932 – November 30th, 2009
It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of our dear husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend on Monday, November 30, 2009 at the Victoria Hospital. Clarence is survived by his wife Rita (nee Frenette) of 51 years; his six sons Tim and his children Mandy-Lee and stepson Christopher, Mark (Tanya) and their children Marissa, Jared and Jennifer, Kenny (Holly) and his children Kristen and Kelsey, Gary, Todd (Tracy) and their sons Vincent and Landon, Roger (Kathy) and their children Dillon, Meagan and Brayden; his brothers Eddy, Frank Jr. (Beatrice), Tommy (Ruby), Teddy (Shirley), Peter (Stephanie) and his sisters Jean (Metro) Abramyk, Margaret (Bert) Majchrowski as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his Father Frank Sr.; his mother Maria (nee Grassick); his siblings Joe, Jack, Rose, George and Mary both in infancy; his sisters-in-law Mary and Anne. Clarence was born on the homestead in the Fanford District, where he remained farming for his entire life while raising his six sons with his wife Rita. Dad enjoyed the pleasures of his grain, cattle, and hog operation. Dad was a provider. Sunday was always his day for reflection and visiting. His door was always open for his many siblings, nieces, nephews, and neighbours. Often you would hear Dad singing, we think this is how he called the many visitors to the farm. One of Dad’s greatest joys was the time spent in the kitchen visiting with all his family, friends, and especially his grandchildren. Many stories were told around the kitchen table, you never left the farm hungry or thirsty or without being challenged in a card game. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, December 4 from River Park Memorial Chapel. Brian Clarke will officiate. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 5 from St. Mark Roman Catholic Church by the Reverend Father George Canto. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Saskatchewan Abilities Council, or Canadian Cancer Society. Interment will take place in the Garden of Sermon on the Mount, Prince Albert Memorial Gardens. Clarence you will always be remembered in our hearts, in our songs and in the softness of a warm harvest breeze. Family and friends may send email condolences to www.riverparkfuneral.ca. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Don Moriarty.
