BARLOW Jose passed away in Kamloops, November 9, 2006 at age 89. Jose lived here most of her life. She worked at Tranquille school. Jose's life was filled with music. A cello player, Jose played in Kamloops Symphony's first concert in December 1976, and continued with the orchestra until recently. Jose was honoured with life membership in the Symphony Society after years as a dedicated volunteer, most notably as musician, librarian, board secretary and fundraising. As a member of Kamloops United Church, Jose served in a variety of ways, most recently as receptionist welcoming those entering the building. Jose also served on the Kamloops Parks Board. Jose requested no service. To honour her, a tea will be held at Kamloops United Church, 421 St. Paul Street on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. Donations toward a memorial bench will be accepted at the tea.
