BRIDGEVILLE – James Gordon Monck, 79 of Bridgeville, Pictou County, died January 29, 2012.
Born in Copper Cliff, Ontario, he was a devoted son of the late Walter and Ruth (Veniotte) Monck.
Jim loved the outdoors, genealogy and music. He greatly enjoyed the company of his friends and family.
Loving father of Janice and Myrna Monck and adoring grandfather of Gareth and Bryn Chapman, devoted brother to Stanley and sister Evelyn Cumming.
Beloved husband of the late Jean (Zuk) Monck and devoted brother to the late Donald Monck.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday from the Bridgeville United Church with Rev. Bonnie Fraser presiding. Burial of ashes will follow in the Bridgeville Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Jim may be made to the Bridgeville United Church or to the Alzheimer’s Society of Nova Scotia.
