JEFFREY BLAIR TURNER

JEFFREY BLAIR TURNER

1966 ~ 2012
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Roberts Creek resident Jeff Turner, who died suddenly on January 20 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Sechelt, BC.
Jeff was born in 1966 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, the third son of the late William and Marjorie Turner. His life was full of adventures, good and bad, and he had many tales to tell. He moved to BC in his early 20s and landed on Linda’s doorstep 10 years later. He and Linda moved to Roberts Creek in 2007 to be with his second family.
Throughout his short and challenging life, Jeff was unfailingly loyal and loving to his friends and family. He never gave up without a fight … to the very end.
A chivalrous, charming, intuitive, fun-loving and very brave man, he was a great cook, loved Elvis, his cats and jamming with his friends.
Jeff leaves behind his beloved partner Linda, his three brothers, Dennis (Marie Helene) of Los Angeles, Bob of Winnipeg and Sam (Medina) of Sechelt. He is also very much missed by his only sister Liana and stepmum Diane of Sechelt. He is remembered by his uncles Al (Eileen) and Ken (Arlene), cousins Mark, Laurie and Sharon and his many friends in Roberts Creek, Manitoba and Langley.
A private memorial service for family and close friends will be held at the Roberts Creek Legion on Saturday, February 4 at 1:00 pm, after which will be an informal gathering for anyone who knew Jeffrey. Doors will be open at 2:30 pm for all those who would like to come and help us say goodbye.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Roberts Creek Legion Branch 219 or Happy Cat Haven.
“Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal.
Love leaves us memories that no one can steal!”
