LEONARD BARRY HARRISON

October 27, 1923 – January 30, 2012
Our beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away after a full life of 88 years. Len will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife Evelyn, children Ann (Victor), Dave (Darlene) and Joan (John), grandchildren Christopher (Soohyun), Peter (Kim), Jonathan and Kimberly and many nieces and nephews.
Len was born in Winnipeg and moved to Vancouver at an early age, attending Kerrisdale Elementary and Lord Byng High School. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force during WWII and worked at BC Telephone Company for 38 years. Len and Evelyn lived in West Vancouver and Maple Ridge, before retiring to Halfmoon Bay. Len was a devoted family man, active in Scouting, his church, Power Squadron, Welcome Beach Community Association and COPS. He enjoyed fishing, boating, the outdoors, building and travelling. Len was a kind and generous man, always ready to help his family, friends and community.
Thanks to the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital and Totem Lodge for their loving care of Len over the last two years.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Len’s memory to St. Mary’s Hospital or St. Hilda’s Anglican Church.
A celebration of Len’s life will be held at St. Hilda’s Anglican Church, Sechelt on Saturday, February 11, at 2 pm.
