At Stewart Memorial Hospital, Tyne Valley, on Thursday, February 2, 2012 of Allan Stuart MacKendrick, Birch Hill, aged 83, dear husband of Doris (Birch) MacKendrick.
Born in Birch Hill on April 27, 1928, son of the late Lorne and Cora (Cameron) MacKendrick. Dear father to Doug (Jean Stewart), Tyne Valley; Mike (Dianne Ellis), Birch Hill; Marilyn (Gary) Arsenault, Stratford; Ronnie (Donna), Birch Hill; JoAnne MacKendrick Pinkham, Summerside; Kathy (Steven) Ellis, Tyne Valley; and Arthur, Harmony. Loving grandfather to 18 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Allan is also survived by his brother Donald (Lois) MacKendrick, Birch Hill. Predeceased by parents; father-in-law, Laurie Birch; brothers, Hugh (Ada), Duncan (Joyce), Ronald and Ralph in infancy.
Resting at the Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting hours Saturday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held Sunday at the Tyne Valley Presbyterian Church at 3 p.m. Interment to follow in Lot 14 Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
