It is with deep sadness that the Russell family announce the passing of their brother Bernard “Bernie” Russell on February 3, 2012 at the age of 52 at his home in Bradford Ontario. He will be sadly missed by his wife Sandra Elliott and daughter Brittney who he shared his life with for the past four and half years. He also leaves to mourn his daughter Stephanie Downey and granddaughters: Nadia and Raelynn of Newfoundland. Bernie will also be greatly missed by his sisters: Julia (Richard) Young, Anne (Ernie) Hart, Sylvia (Wilson) Chaisson, Bridget (Basil) McEachern, Philomena (Joseph) Young and his brothers: Stephen (Diane) Russell, Michael Russell and John Russell, nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles and many others who shared in his life. Bernie was buried in Bradford Ontario on February 7, 2012. The Russell family has requested a memorial service mass be shared on Friday, February 10, 2012 at 3:00 pm at St Stephen’s Church. Following the mass we invite everyone downstairs to share a few stories and memories over a cup of tea or coffee and snacks.
