David Lloyd Boutcher
In loving memory of
DAVID LLOYD BOUTCHER
and the crew who lost their lives in the Ocean Ranger Disaster February 15, 1982.
Softly the leaves of memory fall,
Gently I gather and treasure them all,
Unseen, unheard they are always near,
Still loved, still missed and ever dear.
Forever loved and remembered by Mom.
REMEMBERING...THE OCEAN RANGER
The years have passed since sent to their graves,
All eighty-four perished-nobody saved,
We remember the day, such a sad loss of lives,
Leaving behind children, parents and wives.
What really happened? We still don’t know,
We remember the storm and remember the snow,
Today they would bring the big rig ashore,
There would be no investigation on the ocean floor.
There was never a chance for a proper goodbye,
Many years later we still wonder why,
Memories remain so fresh in our mind,
Only twenty-two bodies did they find.
Our lives have gone on our families grew,
Those left behind remember the crew,
Time they say, will help heal the pain,
But life without them has not been the same.
(Composed by brother Jeff Boutcher, Gromley, Ontario)
Forever remembered by Jim, Jeff, Jeanette, Denise, Dana and families.
